Marnong Estate is such a beautiful place to stay and dine all in one. Absolutely perfect views with amazing food, wine and service, and so close to home! Could not fault the food at all, will be visiting a lot more, would much prefer this over travelling to the city any day!

Totally disgusted with booking process. Not a restaurant I will be booking, buying vouchers for as gifts or celebrating events here again! After booking for my family of 4 a week ahead of schedule for a 7pm dinner sitting.
The morning of the dinner I called at 9am to cancel as a family member had gastro. I thought I was doing the right thing avoiding the restaurant not to spread any germs to both guests and workers. Marnong kindly deducted $80 from my account for not turning up even though I had called 10 hours prior. They have taken $80 from my account when they had plenty of time to get another booking for 4 guests.
Try another winery . Will never step foot here again! Times are tough and no consideration was given!
everything was amazing, the view, the beds, spacious clean rooms, Cucina food was exceptional, great place for our team building get away.

Marnong estate was really beautiful but we were very disappointed about our shared menu lunch.
It was a day trip of a group of 52 people and we were told no need to order lunch individually, it will be a shared menu. We paid $50 each. First thing that came out was calamari which was very nice. Next was the pizza, then pizza, then pizza, then pizza, then pizza!
We were all hanging out for our main course, then came two bowls of ghnocci for our table of 16 people. Finally a pasta dish came and it was fettuccini which was very nice but we were given only ONE small dish to share amongst 16 people! Five people got to taste it and the rest just looked on! This was the end of our lunch, no dessert and no coffee!!
What's the logic of this?? We could have ordered a pasta dish ourselves! I would like the owner of the restaurant or the chef to respond to my comment please.
We had a function here and the food was great the service was amazing but then i noticed peacocks locked up in a tiny cage which upset me and put me off coming back.
I hope that they are not there permantly but i suspect they are. A lot of other people where quite upset about this too

I recently stayed at Fox on the Run Motel in Kilmore, and I must say, its location is absolutely unbeatable! Perfectly situated along the main route, it was incredibly convenient for our travel plans.
Despite its central location, the motel offered a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere, making it a great spot to rest after a day of exploring or travelling. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. What truly sets this motel apart is how easy it makes accessing local attractions, eateries, and nearby amenities.
It's the ideal place to stop for those on the road who appreciate convenience without compromising on comfort. I highly recommend Fox on the Run Motel for anyone passing through Kilmore or planning a short stay. Its location alone makes it a standout choice, and the quality of the service and facilities is the icing on the cake!

I slept well. The refrigerator doesn't proy work. I turned it to its coldest setting and still it would not freeze my Esky bottles. In fact the surrounds of the freezer part had melted water on it this morning, not frozen.
The bathroom could do with somewhere to put things. There is room beside the shower for a small table.
